Coplin Health Systems Welcomes Behavioral Health Provider Emily Cinnamon

Coplin Health Systems is pleased to welcome behavioral health provider Emily Cinnamon to PHS Health and Wellness Center and at Parkersburg Family Care (Emerson). Cinnamon brings knowledge and experience in the mental health field and will provide quality care to patients of all ages.

“I’m excited to be working with an amazing team of skilled therapy professionals, supporting the well-being and mental needs of Coplin Health Systems patients,” Cinnamon said. “There is nothing more rewarding than helping individuals and families meet their behavioral health goals and gain confidence in their ability to reach their full potential.”

Cinnamon earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ, in October 2022. She received her Bachelor of Science in Christian Counseling from Liberty University in 2013. Before joining Coplin Health Systems, she worked as a counselor for Blueprints and Westbrook Health Services in Parkersburg.

Cinnamon recently obtained a significant milestone in her career by successfully passing the National Counselor Examination (NCE), demonstrating her commitment to excellence in behavioral health. This accomplishment highlights her dedication to maintaining high standards and providing quality care to Coplin Health Systems’ clients.

Cinnamon said she values the opportunity to guide her patients through moments of life challenges, helping them to improve their individual mental health and the health of their relationships.

“I have a passion for connecting with my patients and creating a safe space where they can explore growth and healing,” Cinnamon said. “Emotions can be difficult to manage at times, and therapy is a safe environment where people can be themselves.”

Rob Dudley, CEO of Coplin Health Systems, said that Cinnamon’s desire for community-based care along with her communication and listening skills will benefit the patients at PHS Health and Wellness Center and at Parkersburg Family Care (Emerson).

“We are thrilled to have Emily join our behavioral health services team,” Dudley said. “Emily’s background and experience will enable Coplin Health Systems to offer comprehensive care, ensuring that patients can access mental health support in the familiar and trusted medical facility they know.”

Dr. Darrin E. Nichols, Chief Medical Officer of Coplin Health Systems, added, “People have increasingly become more aware of their mental health needs. Emily is committed to connecting with her patients and walking alongside them as they follow their path to wellness.”
