Coplin Health Systems to Host Women’s Health Day on October 15
RACINE, OH (October 7, 2025) – Coplin Health Systems invites community members to attend its Women’s Health Day event on Wednesday, October 15, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Southern Local Schools Wellness Center, located at 906 Elm Street, Racine, OH.
This annual event is designed to empower women of all ages by providing them with the tools and resources they need to take charge of their health and well-being. Attendees will have access to a variety of health screenings and wellness education—all aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles and preventive care. Information on self-breast exams and other women-related health concerns will also be available.
“October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and this Women’s Health Day is a great opportunity for participants to learn about breast health and also get lab screenings that will help them better understand their current health status,” said Junetta Maynard, FNP, Nurse Practitioner at Southern Local Schools Wellness Center. “These screenings can point to certain lifestyle changes that can help prevent further complications.”
At the event, attendees can get the following lab screenings:
- Thyroid (TSH)
- Blood Count/Anemia (CBC)
- Cholesterol/HDL/LDL/Triglycerides (Lipids)
- Glucose/Electrolytes (CMP)
- HgbA1C
- Vitamin D
Those getting lab screenings at the event are asked to not eat or drink for eight hours prior to testing. Lab results will be sent by mail. Once they receive their results, individuals may review and discuss their results with their primary care provider or schedule an appointment with a Southern Local Schools Wellness Center staff member.
The cost of the event is $55, and cash, credit card or check will be accepted. Insurance companies will not be billed for this event.
Appointments are helpful to expedite your visit. Call 740-949-2348 to schedule an appointment.
