Coplin Health Systems Welcomes Dr. Cindy Dugan

Coplin Health Systems is pleased to welcome Cindy Dugan, M.D., to its behavioral health team.

Dugan brings nearly 30 years of experience and a strong commitment to compassionate care as a psychiatrist treating patients of all ages. She will continue to see patients across the lifespan, with a current focus on accepting new pediatric referrals for children and adolescents aged 6–17. In this role, she will provide care for psychiatric conditions, including, but not limited to, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, depression, and anxiety.

A native of Huntington, W.Va., Dugan is a graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine, Morgantown, W.Va. She completed her psychiatry residency at Northeastern Ohio University’s College of Medicine, Akron, Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Marshall University, Huntington, W.Va.

Dugan comes to Coplin Health Systems from Westbrook Health Services in Parkersburg, where she served as medical director. She also previously practiced as a staff psychiatrist at Counseling and Wellness Center in Parkersburg; and as medical director at Beckley Comprehensive Treatment Center, Beaver, W.Va.; Wheeling Comprehensive Treatment Center, Triadelphia, W.Va.; Parkersburg Comprehensive Treatment Center, Parkersburg; and Clarksburg Comprehensive Treatment Center, Clarksburg, W.Va.

With the addition of Dugan, Coplin Health Systems extends its commitment to its mission to provide comprehensive, compassionate care and enhance access to mental health care in the rural communities it serves. As Dugan is also passionate about substance use disorder treatment, she will help Coplin expand its services in that area, as well.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Dugan to the team,” said Tracy Martin, Chief Operating Officer, Coplin Health Services. “Not only will she expand our ability to meet the growing mental and behavioral health needs of our patients, but she already knows this community well. Her vast experience and connection to the area will strengthen our care, support our staff, and help us continue moving forward with compassion and purpose.”

Dugan will see patients at the WVUP Health & Wellness Center, 73 Nicolette Road, in Parkersburg. To schedule an appointment, call 304-861-4141. To learn more about Coplin Health Systems Behavioral & Mental Health Care services, visit coplinhealth.com/services/behavioral-health/.
