Coplin Health Systems to Host Women’s Health Day event on October 14 in Racine, Ohio
RACINE, OH (October 1, 2026) – Coplin Health Systems invites community members to attend its Women’s Health Day event on Wednesday, October 14, 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Southern Local Wellness Center, located at 906 Elm Street in Racine, Ohio. The cost of the event is $55 per person, which includes all screenings. Payment may be made by cash, credit card, or check.Insurance will not be billed.

This community event is designed to support women in prioritizing their health by offering comprehensive screenings, preventive education, and practical tools for maintaining wellness. Participants will have access to a wide range of no‑additional‑cost screenings and informational resources focused on breast health and other women’s health concerns.
“Women’s Health Day is an important opportunity for women to pause and focus on their own well‑being,” said Junetta Maynard, FNP, Nurse Practitioner at Southern Local Wellness Center. “By combining education with comprehensive screenings, we’re helping participants gain a clearer picture of their health and identify steps that support long‑term wellness.”
Attendees will receive the following screenings, all covered by the event fee:
- Thyroid (TSH): evaluates thyroid function
- Blood Count/Anemia (CBC): identifies anemia and other blood-related concerns
- Cholesterol/HDL/LDL/Triglycerides (Lipids): measures cholesterol and heart‑health indicators
- Glucose/Electrolytes (CMP): assesses blood sugar and metabolic function
- HgbA1C: provides a three‑month average of blood glucose
- Vitamin D: evaluates levels important for bone and immune health
Individuals receiving lab work are asked to fast for eight hours prior to testing. Results will be mailed, and participants may review them with their primary care provider or schedule a follow up appointment with a Southern Local Wellness Center clinician.
