Coplin Health Systems Launches Mobile Dental Program

School-based program helps students fulfill dental exam requirement.

PARKERSBURG, WV (October 02, 2025) – Coplin Health Systems has established a mobile dental program to serve community members who face barriers to accessing dental care.

The mobile unit programming started in Wirt County, specifically providing dental services to students who need to complete a dental exam. Through the program, dental providers administer routine exams and cleanings at school-based locations.

Coplin Health Systems launched the mobile dental program on Friday, September 12, at Wirt County Primary Center in Elizabeth, W.Va., where providers saw students who needed the required dental exam and were referred by the school.

Additional sites and dates for students to be seen through the mobile dental program will be announced later. Coplin Health Systems accepts Medicaid, CHIP, and private insurance for these services and bills insurance providers directly.

Coplin Health Systems started the mobile dental program to address a community need, as there are currently no dental clinics in Wirt County.

“We are excited to launch the mobile dental program to support our mission to serve the health and wellness needs of our communities,” said Rob Dudley, Chief Executive Officer, Coplin Health Services. “Dental health is important to overall health, and our communities need access to quality dental health services. It’s why we felt it was so important to roll out this program for the people of Wirt County, where there currently isn’t a local option for dental care.”

Coplin Health Systems is exploring expanding the mobile dental program to other community-based locations to provide basic dental services to additional age groups.
