Accessing Quality Healthcare Right Where You Live
Residing in a rural or underserved area doesn’t mean you should have to travel to get quality healthcare.
Getting the best possible care will always be your priority for you and your family in western West Virginia and eastern Ohio. Fortunately, quality care is increasingly within reach as healthcare continues to evolve.
Coplin Health Systems’ mission is to serve the health and wellness needs of our communities. The belief that everyone should have access to services—regardless of their ability to pay or other factors—is one of our core values.
Our team-based, fully integrated healthcare approach places a premium on flexibility, communication, and seamless care while eliminating barriers that have long prevented those in rural or underserved areas from getting the care they need.
Our approach is defined by greater flexibility and more care options, including:
- More options for being seen by providers. Depending on their situation and scheduling limitations, patients may be able to see either their primary care physician or another member of their physician-led care team, such as a physician’s assistant or a nurse practitioner, who can provide the same level of care.
- Fully integrated care teams also improve patient access to specialists, when needed, without having to travel to a larger facility.
- In addition, school-age children and youth can access an expanded range of services through school-based wellness centers.
- Increased access to telehealth. Telehealth has become an attractive and commonplace care option. Patients can see a healthcare professional or mental health provider via video, often without leaving home to attend the appointment.
- More flexible pharmacy access. Prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, along with consultations from pharmacy staff, are critical to quality care. On-site pharmacies and available prescription home delivery services eliminate the need to travel to a third-party pharmacy.
- Financial assistance programs. The ability to pay shouldn’t be a barrier to anyone who needs care. That applies to those living in our region. We offer sliding fee discounts that make care and prescriptions more affordable for low-income individuals.
Multiple Locations for Convenient Care
Coplin Health Systems operates a network of more than a dozen strategically placed locations in the Mid-Ohio Valley to provide the best care to the most people in our region.
By providing access to caring and highly capable healthcare professionals locally, we minimize the need for patients to travel to larger, more populated areas for care.
Comprehensive Services Under One Roof
As we seek to positively impact health and wellness in our region and promote integrated, seamless care, Coplin Health Systems offers a comprehensive range of services at many of our locations. Depending upon the location, available services can include primary care, preventative services, behavioral health, pediatrics, lab services, radiology, pharmacy services, dental, and more.
Combining service offerings in single locations improves continuity of care and streamlines treatment plans while removing geographic barriers.
Patients also benefit from attending fewer appointments at different locations, easier referrals, and improved communication between providers.
Flexible Healthcare Options
No single approach to care is right for all patients and all situations. To address the spectrum of patient needs and requirements, Coplin Health Systems offers flexible options that optimize access and improve care.
By emphasizing flexibility, we proudly work to carry out our mission and provide care that delivers the best possible outcomes to our region’s residents. We believe our integrated approach to healthcare is the best method for delivering the highest quality care to every patient.
