Care That Treats the Whole Person: What Is Integrated Substance Abuse Care?

Managing life while dealing with substance abuse issues for yourself or loved ones can feel overwhelming, frustrating, and confusing. You may not know where to start or feel like other options have failed to understand the bigger picture.

We recognize these challenges, which is why our Integrated Substance Abuse Care Program is designed to provide a clear and supportive path forward.

Understanding Substance Use & Why Integrated Care Matters

Data shows that substance abuse is often connected to mental health, physical health, life circumstances – and often can occur around disruptions in all three. Our program is designed to look holistically at each person to support treatment in all aspects of their lives, not just the substance abuse symptoms.

Integrated Substance Abuse Care at Coplin Health Systems works by using an integrated blend of resources working together towards the same goal. Our program combines primary care, behavioral health, psychiatry, and all of Coplin’s additional in-house services in a coordinated way. This allows for care plans to be personalized as your providers work in unison with one another. In addition to unified care, the provided care coordination can reduce the effort required by the patient to manage these resources on their own.

Help Starts Now, No Matter Where You Are

Coplin’s Integrated Substance Abuse Care Program is designed to meet you wherever you are on your journey, which means we normalize all entry points. We want to emphasize that substance use care is not just for severe cases

If you have early concerns for yourself or others, are seeking support for a relapse, or simply don’t have everything figured out yet, your reason for seeking help is valid.

The most important thing to know is: You don’t have to hit rock bottom to ask for help.

Services Available Today

Everyone is on their own care journey, which is why we have multiple programs that are designed to meet you where you are. Our services include assessment and care coordination, individual behavioral health services for the whole family, and individual and group therapy for early recovery and relapse prevention.

All services are provided in a nonjudgmental environment that is clinician-led to complement care while providing additional structure and peer support. Substance abuse care is a shared responsibility across our providers, which is why our patients are supported by a team throughout the program.
